Mr Ed hits the bottle

thanks for the post mr. ed :) i, too, was in that position just last night. i used to play cards 5 nights a week at one of our local "establishments"...stopped when i quit because i knew the temptation would be too great. but i went back last night. when i walked in, the initial smell was awesome...and i wondered if i'd have to leave early...but i popped a piece of gum and started playing. the invitation of the smell was short lived! the girl next to me was smoking, and i couldn't stand the smell or the smoke in my face....what a milestone!!! through the evening though, the smell became less annoying...and ocassionally, even inviting. after 2 tournaments, i decided i had taken enough risks and left before the third one. so here i am...proud of myself...and still not smoking! btw...i lost both games! lol jo My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 255 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 13 Mins: 59 Seconds: 32

withdrawal symptom?

i think i remember reading this...but i'm not sure, and i can't get myself back to that point on the site...so could somebody please tell me if "dizziness" is a withdrawal symptom? it started yesterday, and it's really atypical...it doesn't happen when i'm rising from a sitting position...it's while i'm sitting. and it's really significant...not just a feeling of being a little lightheaded...but a feeling of "omg...i'm gonna pass out"~~~if this is a normal symptom...then i won't worry about it...so if you wouldn't mind... lemme know if i should worry or not....lol My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 110 Amount Saved: $7.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 5 Seconds: 57

not doing well :(

thank you all so very much! the latest update is that i ate and ate, and ate some more! but i did not smoke. i also haven't thrown out the pack. i might. that's the best i can promise. it's sort of like...in another life i had...protecting my "right" to do the things i'm trying not to do. so that right is protected....but for the moment...i choose not to exercize it. i also know i'm flirting with disaster. but for now, i'll take a nap...can't smoke if i'm sleeping! you have all given me a happy heart! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 95 Amount Saved: $7.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 15 Seconds: 37
