Come on over, lilly, we're glad to have you here. After cleaning up we'll settle down in these gorgeous hammocks-pick any color you want-and we'll wet our whistles with these island drinks. Little umbrellas for everyone!

MistyMoon, eight days quit--that is so terrific! Since you did cold turkey(me too)the nicotine is out of your system. Of course you will still have withdrawals, because you are a nicotime addict. We all are. Drinking alot of ice water, chewing ridiculous amounts of sugar-free gum and deep breaths helped me in the beginning. My hat is off to you, it sounds like you have many crazy things going on. The important thing is that YOU DID NOT SMOKE!!!!!How awesome is that?!You did the right thing by coming here and posting. Visit this site often and work the program to the left-and remember N.O.P.E-Not One Puff Ever. It would only take one puff for me to be back to smoking and I Won't do it. I'm loving my non-smoking life. No more smelly fingers, no more hiding from the public when I "need" a smoke when I'm out and about. My car smells wonderful. My home smells wonderful, too. You have animals, I too have animals-you don't need to have stale cigarette smoke in your house too. There are so many reasons to be a non-smoker and no good reasons smoke. When the nicotine addict is telling you to smoke, take a deep breath instead and feel your lungs getting clearer and stronger. Keep up the great work!!
Trudy :)

Hi Cassey,
Your buddies here are right, it sounds like withdrawal from nicotine. This is a drastic lifestyle change.I too felt sad...almost like missing an old friend(a friend who will kill you!)but that is what the nicotine monster does, it tries to grad hold of us--don't let it.If you feel the need for an antidepressant, talk to your doctor or you can also just keep coming here. We all understand what you are going through.Remember N.O.P.E.
Here's a hug,
Trudy :)
