Hey I know what an accomplishment that is. You didn't put your meter up so I don't know how long you have been quit but I know it's hard to be around other smokers. My reaction now is that I just feel sorry for them. I'm also still talking to my twin sis to lay them down. She wants to but is still skeptical wheather she can or not. It has to be her decision. I truly agree these support gtoups are very helpful. Lot of luck.
I would rather be a non-smoker with the occational crave than to be a smoker always wanting to quit.

That's a big step, getting through day 1. Just take it one day at a time. It really does get better. Gosh I can't believe I'm on day 42. It really does go fast if you don't dwell on it. Just keep busy and read all the posts you can and listen to all the advice you can from these posts. There is a lot of quitting experience here.

It's kind of a lull in the afternoon. There will be someone on to give you their experience with chantix. Welcome to SSC. Start doing your homework for your quit. Start reading all the posts you can. Old ones and new ones. You can do it. We have all been where you are today. You have to have a stronger desire and determination to quit than to light up. This is a wonderful support group.

I think what Danielle said about accountability is so true. It's nice to have someone care about you and for you to feel accountable to them. If it's this site, friends, or family. I know I have learned so much from this site. I don't post a lot but I sure am reaping a lot. There are so many profound statements made here. Somethings I have always thought or haven't thought about and to see them posted here reinstates it. What I have learned here has made me have a real positive attitude about my quit. I'm still hanging on and will never take another puff.
