Update On Me, and Some Questions

Wow. I remember being in Korea with all hell going on, bullets flying, mortar rounds falling on us. I remember being a very scared teen-ager (17) when a tough old marine gunny said to me "don't worry about it kid you'll never see the one that kills you". What does this have to do with smoking? You will never know which cigarette you smoked that killed you. Not today but down the road when things are going well in your life then bang bang bang lung cancer or worse. Is it worth is to smoke? Only you can determine that, it's your choice. Duffis duffis's Quit Stats Since Sunday, February 13, 2005, I've been smoke-free for: 362 Days, 19 Hours, 42 Minutes, 40 Seconds. I have saved $1,520.40 by not smoking 10884 cigarettes. By not smoking I have added 78 Days, 14 Hours, 24 Minutes, 14 seconds. to my life expectancy.

ANAOTHER FEB/2005 WINNER

Ok Suzyl I know you have been chomping at the bit to get here and I don't blame you one bit. You have earned every day and some of them the hard way around. I remember chatting with you when you first quit. You and Moodyblue and I all did the deed on the same day and it was crazy as hell for a long time there but we made it. Majordude helped us out after he began his quit and we have been friends since. I know you don't post often but I wish you would come back and help out the new quitters, you could help a lot of people with your quit knowledge. Celebrate big time. I am sending you a dozen red roses to help you celebrate your victory. One for each month of your quit. To MOODYBLEU I know you are out there and I also know you sill see this. What a year it has been for you; staying quit and fighting off the big C. What courage you have and I hope that everyone on this site can understand how big a winner you are. For you my dear here are two dozen red roses. One for each month of your quit and one dozen just because you are special. It may not sound big, but I'm proud anyway!

You sure have a right to be proud. Without that first 2 days, 2 weeks, and 2 months I would not be here today celebrating one year. Reward yourself and remember that you are now a non-smoker. Duffis

A REAL VALENTINE QUITTER

Melissa I really didn't forget you. You didn't post often (78) times in one year but you were here. Congratulations and kudos for your outstanding victory on this terrible war on addiction to nicotine. You have shown remarkable courage and will to stay quit. Here are some roses for you to celebrate your day tomorrow and by the way HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. A THANK YOU NOTE FROM DUFFIS

There is no force more potent than love. Take away love and your world is an empty shell. Your life echoes emptiness without love. With it, your life will vibrate with warmth and meaning. Even during hardship, love will shine through. As I look back upon the events in my life, I find that the moments that stand out, the moments when I have really lived, are the moments when I have done things in a spirit of love. If you have it, you don't need to have anything else, and if you don't have it, it doesn't matter what else you have. As I have read and re-read all of the warm, loving posts celebrating my one year without a cigarette I have reached the decision that being here in the SSC with all of you great people is indeed one of the most monumental loving experiences of my life. This site is a platform that has given me so much and taught me how to really give of myself. Taught me how to be open, honest and caring. Has taught me how to be mindful of other people and their feelings. To all of you Members and Staff I thank you for a great experience and a super good time. Duffis

THE VIP CLUB

It's been a long grind but it was worth every dam crave, itch and change in my poor ole bod. I love being free there is nothing like it. This is now my resting place where I can regroup and continue to contribute to the membership. So I going to start off by having a cold one and watching tv. Duffis
