Hi everyone Im back here again! I have been smoking again for 18 months after quitting for 2 years. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. When I first quit I gained about a stone in weight but felt healthier and very proud of myself. After starting smoking again I TEMPORARILY lost weight (about half a stone) and felt really skinny. Gradually I gained it again and that was whilst smoking. So here I am again a stone heavier than when I first quit and I not looking forward to putting on another stone. That will make me 2 stone heavier. I have hated the fact that I started smoking again and am gonna quit again regardless of the weight gain although I will fight it like mad.
The moral of this story is DONT smoke again to lose weight it will come back on you again whilst smoking and then you will have to start all over again with even more problems than the first time.
take care everyone, Im glad to be back on here.
luv Sue
You could also try eating porridge for your breakfast, its really filling. I aim to have a large breakfast small dinner and large healthy tea then I dont feel the urge to snack all night while I am watching tv.
I havent felt like drinking tea or coffee since not smoking they really go hand in hand for me. Ive found Rasberry flavoured water with green tea extract in my local supermarket and since drinking a bottle a day ive felt less bloated and lumpy.
Im only on my third day tho so I am hoping if I carry on like this I wont gain too much weight.
Good luck hope some of this helps x

Hi Kate it might be water retention. That causes fast weight gain, It also make you feel puffy.
Try drinking 2 litres of water a day (if you are not already) and try the chemist for a duretic that should help take the puffy feeling away. Also watch youre salt intake it can be hidden in the most innocent looking things but especially in salted nuts, crisps etc.
Hope you feel better soon hun, Im on my first week and am trying to keep the weight off best I can too.
