7/10 tomorow is my big day.

I am scared to death! on day 3 chantix and welbu combination. I am already very snappy which tells me my meds are kicking in and the nicotine is not getting into my brain.

I am a 36 year old father to 3 daughters I look after full time, and I have been smoking a pack a day for 20 years. I really need to get this done, if anyone reads this if you could pray for me lol, n wish me luck. will update as I go.

new, suggestions on quit aids?

Original Post by: Ashley, Health Educator
Welcome Blue Diamonds!

Thinking about quit aids is a very smart decision prior to quitting. Many people can be successful when quitting cold turkey but quit aids are a big support to many other quitters. I encourage you to talk to your doctor about your options. There are some quit aids that needs a prescription - Champix for example.  Let us know what you decide to do.

im on day 3 combination chantix and bupropion my quit day is tomorrow.

I have done chantix in the past it works great to keep the withdraw symptoms off of me, but it comes at a cost im a little snappy with people on week one, because chantix blocks the feel good from the smoke from hitting my brain, and that makes me grouchy lol. but if there is an easier softer way, id say chantix all day long, just make sure your loved ones are aware you will be grumpy for a bit.
