I'm a cold turkey quitter. I've been quit for a quite a number of years now & lost count of number of quit attempts.
 
fwiw, if you want to quit more than smoking itself... it doesn't matter how you quit but what you learn on the journey to make it stick.

I am glad you are figuring out how to manage cravings. Cold turkey can be quit the challenge but it sounds like you are more then up for it!

So I have smoked for almost 30 years, and this is my first attempt at quitting, Today is my 5th day cold turkey. Still having cravings, but chewing gum is helping.
