Thanks for the bump, Kylisa! Joe Cool's posts punched a huge hole in my smoking fantasies.... essential reading and cogitating for all friends of the SSC!

WOW--what an unbelieveable & thought provoking thread..A real tear jerker. I hope Mrs Cool & baby Cool are all well and finding a life after that tough deal... What an inspiration & opportunity we all have to remember that heart-wrenching post written by Joe & then his wife a few weeks later. If they could endur that pain--we can certainly get throught any challenges we may come up against. Thanks for the bump & the chance to put things in perspective. Wow...I could be wrong but my personal thought is maybe that God's plan was to utilize Joe to save many upon many lives. I am on my 5th day of my quit as I am writing this, and the thought that has been going on over and over in my mind up until now is this. I am only 22 years old. A part of me kept on believing that I am too young to have anything serious happen to me, and that I could realistically keep on smoking until I get older. Well, like many others who have read this thread I NOLONGER feel this way. This is why I believe that this may have been God's plan for Joe, for I am another live that has been saved from his story.
