Haber, welcome to the SSC, and Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking. Are you using a NRT like gum or Chantix or are you going cold turkey? Have you gone through "my program" so you have a plan in place? Preparation is key to a successful quit! Add your quit meter to your postings from "my profile". Have you set up a reward system to celebrate each passed craving (small reward), each smoke free day (medium reward), and each smoke free week (larger reward)? I suggest that you read as much as you can, using the search feature to look up topics that others have posted about. Drink lots of iced water to flush the toxins out of your system. Clean your house and car to get rid of the cigarette smell, and make sure you throw away all ashtrays, lighters, cigarettes, etc. Post as often as you need. If you are having major cravings, post here and wait for 5 responses. By then the craving will be gone. Some members swear by Alan Carr's book. There are so many options, so choose what works best for you! We're all rooting for your success!
