Hey Renee and Chris, so glad you are here. There is so much great support here no matter what. It isn't going to be easy, it will be hard. Just be prepared. Don't do like I do from time to time and forget to put a patch on, it will bite you in the butt. Make sure its the first thing you do when you get going in the morning, have plenty chewing gum, cold water and it never hurts to have hershey's kisses to melt in your mouth. If you have a high stress job, be prepared to have exit strategies when people get on your nerves and you get one of those monster craves. If you can't just leave and take a drive, go for a walk, even if it's up and down some stairs in the hall. The craves will pass. Do whatever you have to do to make the quit stick, learn what your triggers are and be prepared for them. One of my triggers is anger. When I get mad, I want to smoke.... If I'm at work, I have to post post post to get thru it (Thank God, people on this board care enough to bail me out and talk me thru it all). If I'm at home, I use my hammer on something.... Anyway, stay close to the board and breathe really hard and deep when you can't and you have a crave...It will pass!!

Hello Renee! Hello Chris! Glad to hear your joining the group! Congrats, Chris, on those two days. It's hard, for sure, but if you keep reading, lots of folks here can vouch that it is attainable. I'm on the patch as well. Stay close....
Oh, by the way, go look for Kristilu's hammock posting in new and general forum for a little R & R!
