Hey Kev ! Wow you too remember me.. Awwwwwwwww :) Yes, I was going through 'stuff', fell off the wagon, on the wagon, back off the wagon etc etc etc. And then on top of all of that had prob's with my pc - still not great so it's just a matter of hoping for the best each day. In the meantime .. OMG ! Look at YOU ! You are doing so marvellously! Congrats to you Kev.. SUCH AN INSPIRATION ;) Into week two now Kev.. A wee bit tougher I'm finding, but holding on and yes doing my breathing exercises and drinking lots of ice water, a variety of herbal teas and so on. I've been really good at staying away from the garbage food :eg: Hoping you are having a wonderful smoke free weekend Kev ! Keep up the great quit.. still saying "WOW" ! ! ! ! Yay Sam, Great to have you back on board. I often wondered about you so I am really glad you checked in. Congrats on your first week. Keep close, deep breathe when you need it (normal breathe at other times), drink iced water etc. I am sooooooo glad to see you back, it's put a happy face on me for sure. Sam....the first week is the toughest. This is a week I'll never repeat. To start smoking, and then go through hell week all over again...NO THANKS! You're a better person than me for going through it again. Hang tough. There are others with a November quit. I think they're going to call themselves Nopembers. Get close to them, you all will be going through the same thing at the same time, and it will definitely ease your cravings. Remember, we're all in this together, so instead of lighting up, come here and post. It'll keep your fingers busy. Wow ! Some of you actually remember me ? I know deep inside I didn't "fail".. but it's a really uggghhy feeling to stop smoking and then restart over and over again. All of the times I went back to smoking were a result of the same trigger and that trigger will always be with me for many more years. The TRICK is to TRICK the nicodemon and get him off my shoulder.. he's a nasty little trickster isn't he ? Anyway, I'm going into this stop smoking plan quite differently this time around. I've gained more knowledge and it's all a matter of putting that knowledge ahead of the craves and reminding myself that lighting up will NEVER, EVER change what is in my life. Well day 6 begins.. wooooooooohoooooooo... Tomorrow I have my one week smoke free and I've already picked out my reward - a little bottle of perfume ;) Costs just a little more than a pack of cig's and instead of stinking I'll smell OOOOOOOHHHHH sooooooo pretty.. LOL ! Have a great day all !
