Yea, understanding the why of the addiction is a real big part of doing this...I used to think of quitting as simply the cessation of smoking...the ending of an act...That is a receipt for failure, because there is no understanding in that. When we begin to recognize why we hurt ourselves by smoking we begin to make it better.
For better or worse we are very complex beings, and there are reasons that we do what we do, even if we are not aware enough to know what those reasons might be...This is also why as you move forward you will go on a little trip of self discovery...Just remember, that this is the best gift you can ever give yourself and the people in this world who love you...
