April,

Under Forums, go to "Support Group Options" and upload your profile picture from there.  Be sure to set the question: "Show your picture icon" to "Yes".  If you require further assistance, please contact us via feedback and we'd be glad to help you from there.

April,

Way to go! Congrats on 20 smoke-free days!  Please do reward yourself, you deserve it!

Deep muscle relaxation and box breathing can help with alleviating the panic attacks.  Check out our sister site: http://www.paniccenter.net/ for helpful information on dealing with panic.

Members, have you experienced panic before?  Any suggestions for April?

Hang in there!

Hi April.........

First and Foremost.........CONGRATS !!!!!!  on your 3 weeks.

Second......One can sense that you are teetering on the fence in your last few posts.  I know the sleep issue can take the wind out of your sails.  How do you feel about Ambien?  My doc put me on it temporarily when I felt I was losing my ability to function.  It took a few months but I finally balanced out.

How would you truly feel if you decided to start smoking again right now?  Having been through 3 weeks could you go back and feel ok about lighting up?  If you can, that is completely up to you.  But having been where you are at right now, you know you will have to go through this again at some point down the road.   Just think it through and don't let the junkie make the decision for you.  Make it from your heart and soul.

Good Wishes to you today April.

Moss

P.S.   When people kept saying " it will get better, it will get better" I used to share a few choice words with whoever was in ear shot. blah, blah bul***it #*&^*(it.      And then gradually , it did. !!!

Thank you all for the support.... I am really needing it as I am having a hard time with everything emotionally with the lack of sleep. I think it is related to the fact that I had a panic attack between 1-2am twice the first week of quitting and now my mind is programmed to wake up during that time... and no relief with sleep meds. I want this to be it, but this is my first time quitting and it is so hard.
