Cuddles: You are a monument to the word "persistence" as well as "tenacity". What a quitting star you are!
As a fellow Chantix user, I do want to share my experience with you. The Chantix was great -- very helpful (although the constipation was bad). When my 12 weeks was up, in the following week, I became quite stressed, restless and edgy. I hated how I felt.
I thought I would go get a second 12-week prescription -- no problem from my doctor, but one thing or another led to a delay in getting it filled (mostly insurance issues). Anyway, after two weeks, I felt much better and decided not to get back on the Chantix. I feel great.
To be honest, I got a little worried that I was becoming addicted to it. SO, my message would be that once you've finished the medication, be aware that you may feel a little strange. Just ride through it and it does ease up. Or get the second 12-week prescription -- that's perfectly legitimate as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with quitting Chantix. It's been a month since I had any and I'm doing just fine. NO desire to smoke at all!
Congratulations again, Cuddles!
Keep the faith
