OMG If you had told me two weeks ago, i would have gone up all those steps and made it here then I wouldn't have beleived you. I had a really shakey quit in the beginning, and I bet there were soem people who thought i'd never make it here either.
The day before I quit, I uit and only made it until 10 AM. I had a pack and a half of cigarettes, and my ashtray and my lighter. LOL! I wasn't really into it anymore.
I had gotten really fired up to quit a few weeks prior, and I went to the doctor and got Welbutrin. Amethist said that she'd quit with me, and so i then felt obligated to try,... which was what that big phoney atempt was on the 16th.
Then I got this e-mail from the organisational group that I go to from the leader's doctor about smoking. It's funny how these things just pop into your life right when you need them., eh? So, i started researching, reading, and I ended up here.
I was quite bitter about quitting for a little while - which i guess is natural. I didn't even know why i was doing it in the beginning.. I had to journal and find a reason that suited me. It didn't take long for me though to let that bitterness go and see how much I was gaining instead. I'm pretty confident in my quit now.
Thank you, everyone.
