I want to thank all those who posted to me, I really do appreciate all the good thoughts. I have saved this whole thread so I can go back and read it whenever I want. It made me feel so good to see all the posts and to know that I have helped some just as I was helped on the SSC. I smoked for 36 years, so if you ever have any doubt that maybe you cant do it, read about some of us here who smoked for so long and are now successful quitters, it can be done. Everyone have a great smoke free day :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 368 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,207 Amount Saved: $2760 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 3 Mins: 57 Seconds: 59

This past year has had its ups and downs, but with the help of this site and my wonderful friends here there have been more ups than downs. My journey has been a long one but I am sure I have this beat now, but you can be sure I will never let my guard down. I always said I wouldnt quit because I liked smoking, well now I have decided I like NOT smoking better. :) I am so very proud of myself for what I have accomplished in the last year, not only quitting but losing weight and getting a new job that I love. I have enjoyed giving to support to new people and helping them along as I was helped. Its a chain that must be kept going to help others beat this awful addiction and to know the wonderful feeling of being free. Thank you everyone for all your kind words here, I really appreciate it. Now just to clarify, I quit April 21, 2005, and since this is April 21, 2006 I would say today is my 1 year anniversary!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO I did it!!! ;p
The only thing that stands between a woman and what she wants from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible. oops!!! My reward is mostly being smoke free for 1 year. But, I did book a trip to Atlantic City for 4 days and I am thinking of a cruise next year because there just wasnt time to fit it in right now. My 3 friends I walk and exercise with are taking me out for a late lunch after I work today and I am going for a manicure and pedicure. I also bought myself a Gone With the Wind music box, I collect music boxes and Gone With the Wind collectables. I think I am mmore excited today than I am on my birthday lol. One person I have to thank is Rusty, she was there my first day on here when I was ready to say to heck with it all. She walked me through it and because of her caring and compassion I did make it. Rusty, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, you are a true friend. I will be here, ready and waiting. Hummy, thank you for being there and helping me through our dieting and exercise. I love that you gave me this thread even if it was a tad early :p Now I think I have said it all but I may be back again lol.
