I think it's because I've had more time on my hands lately and have to adjust to a new phase of my life. Things will all fall into place. Congrats on conquering the demon Marie - It's good for us to realize that that nasty addiction will hit us every once in awhile so that we remain prepared. Anyway, you have been such an inspiration to me, you just CAN'T smoke! Marie, thanks for the reminder. We all are just one smoke away from smoking again. My sister had that happen after she had quit for some time. Another test and now you get an "A" and move to the front of the class. :p Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 720 Amount Saved: $216.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 18 Mins: 46 Seconds: 49

Wow! What a story. Way to stay strong and i;m sorry to hear that. How strange to see this hit so long after you quit. I;m proud of you for remembering how important it is not to even have one. After more than a year of not smoking, and not even thinking about smoking expect when in presence of smokers, and even then I don't want to smoke. Yesterday I was golfing, the weather was beautiful and I was having a good time, out of the blue, I want to smoke and I mean want a cigarette, I'm uneasy and I'm getting nervous all I can think about is smoking, this lasted all day yesterday. I used all of my coping mechanisms, it was so hard I had to self talk for hours, no you don't want to, but but .... those voices in my head kept going and going, finally ,I used visualisation... I pictured myself smoking and coughing, trying to find a hidden spot, where no one would see me and feeling guilty about wasting over a year of being a non-smoker. Finally went away and back to normal again, whatever that is, LOL. So I thought I had this thing beaten, well guess what? This is the worst addiction, it just creeps up on you and slaps you out of your wits when you least expect it. I am determined never to smoke again and my determination won. I am so relieved and proud of myself... I am sharing this because it might help someone, just say NOPE no matter what.....
