Hi Jo!! Congrats on making it through day one! I can completely relate to how you feel. I'm on day 15 and I still wake up some mornings thinking OK, lets go for a smoke..... Yesterday I felt really lost, not knowing what to do with my ''new'' self. And yeah, angry too. Get as much rest as you can, take long hot baths, read a good book, anything to distract yourself. We can do this, You can do this. We can hit the beach together with all the other May quitters! Hi joluvshugs - Sleeping.....that's how I have gotten through some of the really tough times, especially at the beginning of my Quit. Sleep is good... Be gentle w/yourself and focus on your rewards. What will your first reward be and when? Second? Your 2 week reward? :) I also find that really getting into something like cleaning, clearing out closets, cleaning out the fridge, etc really helps alot. Anything that will really take you away and give you something to focus on and get lost in :) Blessings and Light- Healer My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 79 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,790 Amount Saved: $367.35 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 8 Mins: 7 Seconds: 17

Way to go! You're doing great. Keep pulling yourself up short before you even halfway ponder smoking. Do something, anything, every time. Like everyone is saying, whatever it takes. Expect to be pretty miserable, but think of all the benefits you'll get when you get past the initial quit! They're real. How good, really, does it feel to know you're no longer killing yourself 20+ times a day?! Hold onto the positives, you'll need them. And reach out here as often as necessary. Everyone here is really great, they know what you're going through. Good luck! quitter My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,628 Amount Saved: $174.15 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 9 Mins: 12 Seconds: 22

on day one - you are doing great Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Joluvhugs - What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You made it through day one and you're a day stronger. Smoking kills you. It sure doesn't make you stronger. You own your quit. Talk to yourself and tell yourself you can do this, because, you can. Keep up the good fight!
