    Quitting means
When I die not having my daughter saying if only mom had quit smoking.
I'm doing something to get healthier.
I no longer reek of smoke.
           I can smell flowers now.

Quitting means...

No longer allowing individuals that are not so smart to condesend to me and make me feel like a tool....lol...Believe it or not this was my main reason for quitting....

My car no longer smells like the elevator at work....

I no longer smell like the elevator at work....

My skin has improved.  I'm starting to look a lot better.

My singing voice is where I need it to be....I've noticed it lately when I sing for people.....Used to be they would tell me I'm a great singer....Lately those same people just stare...A good stare....I like that....I was starting to get to a place where I considered having other's sing the songs I write....Now, not a chance...

I don't waste time making excuses to go out so I can drive around and smoke....My family enjoys the extra time this brings...

I don't have to think that I might die really young because of this crap....I'm 27, I shouldn't be thinking about death....Neither should my wife and she did....A lot...

There's less of a chance that my son will grow up thinking it's ok to smoke.

But most importantly....Life is better...Breathings better....All aspects of life are better.....I feel better....My family feels better and I am free in many ways...

Quitting means.....

Being able to spend my twilight years walking on the beach with the love of my life, instead of being in an urn on her mantle.

Dunno if that was a bit too blunt, but there it is folks..... Smoke and you die an average of 15 to 20 years before you should have.....

Not a good trade off at all.

So, I've been hanging around this site again lately and I'm truly impressed by all of the newer quitters here doing an amazing job!

When I used to post here a lot, I always loved these types of posts because they are so personal and really give quitters the opportunity to express, in a very personal way, what quitting means to them.  So, please reply, answering the question, "what does quitting mean to you?"

I'll start...

Quitting means hanging my head high because I've done something I never thought I could!

Quitting means knowing I've done something to improve my health, my financial situation, and my life!

Quitting means never again feeling guilty for NOT quitting, when I knew I should!

So what does quitting mean to you?
