Reward ideas...

16 years ago 0 3307 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Rewards, well let's see. It is hard for me to reward myself for something I should be doing. With that said, why not get a little something. I love Caribou coffee - chocolate turtle mocha - :eg: I like to get something from bath and bodyworks. Nice to smell good just for the sake of smelling good. Use to like to go somewhere to eat and ask for the non-smoking section. Can't do that anymore, everything is non-smoking LOL. Sometimes just write a graditude list of all the wonderful things that come with not smoking. Rewards, you will find them. I've planned a vacation for 2 mos. from my quit date. This will give me time to lose some weight and work on getting back into physical shape. Mental health is important but as Sue said we have to be physically fit to win this battle as well. I did this last time and it really helped me b/c I wanted to be smoke-free & patch free for my b-day and my vacation. I like planning my rewards in advance b/c it gives me a goal to work towards. I'm so happy to be smoke-free today :) Just breathe.....ahhhhh My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 40 Amount Saved: $9.60 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 15 Seconds: 53

Music is a great reward...new CDs. Candles. Chai Latte or other great tea/coffee. Books. A walk in a new place. A trip to the library. Sometimes it's hard to remember to reward ourselves for the progress in our quit. Sometimes it's tough to even think of rewards - especially in the early stages when it's hard to think, period!:) Any ideas to share so we can have a list to pull up if we need it? Here's one of mine: I've purchased and downloaded music to my Nano... and then went for a walk with it:) mk My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60 Amount Saved: $15.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 32 Seconds: 51
