Might offer some inspiration if we post up the good bits we've found about stopping our filthy habit? Here's mine 1. Saving miney. I have money in my purse for FAR longer 2. Breathing better. 3. Actually feeling CALMER (because nicotine is really a stimulant. It cannot calm you, or help you sleep/cope/wake up/cheer up etc.!) 4. Pride. Skippety skip pride in myself. 5. Tasting things. 6. Not afraid to kiss a non-smoking partner. Kissing without worrying I taste vile. 7. Not stinking. Smokers STINK. Yes they do. Even if you just had one, had it outside in a stiff breeze and scooshed on a little perfume - the truth is, you STILL stink of cigs! 8. Once your circulation starts getting back to normal - all your bits (ahem!) get more blood. Which means you (ahem!) feel things better. Which means (ahem, ahem, ahem! lol) orgasms are better!!!!!!! Number 8 seems reason enough to me. ;) S My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/10/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,313 Amount Saved: 222 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 39 Seconds: 30

Oh yeah. Absolutely - I forgot about the work thing. I worked in an office for 14 years at the time we could all still sit there and smoke. Went back to office work a couple of years ago (when we couldn't smoke!) and couldn't believe how difficult I found it. Got bored, tense, stressed - the day dragged. I couldn't figure out why I hated it all so much. Went back to some office work a couple of weeks ago after stopping smoking and my days were a breeze. Not stressful at all. No more clock-watching calculating how much longer until I could get out for a smoke. No tension needing one. Bliss! Plus - able to go see a movie without a frantic smoke last thing outside before going in, followed by pans during the movie, followed by an undignified rush to get out AFTER the movie to have another smoke. Life is PEACEFUL! meg My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/10/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 38 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,339 Amount Saved: 228 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 22 Mins: 31 Seconds: 4

Rewards!!!! Feeling better than you have in years. House smells better. Car/truck smells better. Rewards!!! Working and not trying to get away for a smoke. In fact your whole life is yours now, you dont have to try to sneak away anymore and come back smelling like ashtray. Not standing in the freezing cold smoking. You can now stay and listen to whole conversations without having to leave to smoke. Rewards!!!! Going to the show. (I wouldnt go because I couldnt wait that long to smoke.) I hope to go to Hawaii one day because I can now do the long flight. :) Rewards, rewards, rewards!!! Because we are worth it!!!
