Today I was at the grocery store and spoke to a cashier who's been there a long time. I looked really closely and then said, "have you lost weight?" She's lost close to 50 pounds. And she proclaims, "I quit smoking 9 months ago." OMG, I was awestruck. She quit cold turkey too! She looks great. Her eyes are really bright and she doesn't look as tired as she once did. Just seeing her really boosted my determination to succeed as well. Now...if I can just keep my grubby little mitts out of the cookie jar!. Baaaad Jan!!! Keep the quit, everyone. Oh jan that is absolutely wonderful!! I found out my boss smoked 5 years ago and I was like NO WAY!! he looks like the "never smoked in his life" type person. I feel wonderful since I quit and there is no regrets except maybe wishing my hubby would quit!!
