Okay. Actually, fell asleep for about seven hours. Now it's almost 4 in the mourning, and you know what, my cat expects for me to brush her. It's our ritual, but it's normally done at about 9:00 at night. Might have a part-time job to tide me over. Junk job, but it pays. Went tback to sleep at about 4:30 am, slept until 9:30. I'm on a roll. Will take care of my cat before I fall back to sleep. Brushing time is our quiet time. Hey, princess, today I called the state institution on aging, and asked them if meanness is a symptom of alzheimers. Yes, it can be, along with moodiness, and of course, memory lapse. I'm to try to take my friend in for an evaluation. Makes me feel a little bit better, sort of, to know that she may have turned on me because she may be sick. I will work through the relationship, even if that means I'll have to take some verbal abuse from time to time. My cravings are diminishing. I think it's because I feel more like I understand what is going on and that my friend doesn't hate me. I should be able to keep this quit. Thank you for all of your help. The problem I've really got with the ads here is that they are designed so that nonsmokers will turn on us. I've seen fist fights at bus stops. She's had memory problems as well. I've even given her mnemonics to remember certain things. And earlier, to other people, I had said that the fighting also made no sense because some of it was based on a conversation we had earlier in the year that she could not recall. She's nearly 70. If it turns out that she's sick, I'm not leaving her. In any case, my quit is still intact. Maybe? I struggled so much this week that I just haven't felt secure in my quit. But you have a good point. Marie, This thread was a product of curiousity and the fact that for about three days, I was clawing it. Well, in the shape I'm in, they won't run me out of the ER. They'd have to hospitalize me. Princess, I set you up to give your opinion. Actually, the relationship has been abusive for about 43 days. I've been in Al-Anon for nearly 20 years. I don't put up with this type of garbage, especially when boundaries can not be set. She dishonest. So yes, I've got to let her go. I was looking at the calendar an hour ago to determine the date.
