Golferman always says it like it is. Sidenote: How come you guys are dissin' my 24 and the 8. :8o: Don't hurt me please, I'm just a little old lady not wanting to swap any paint. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 87 Amount Saved: $28 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 6 Seconds: 51

Usually I do not get alot out of these type of posts. I did however from this one. I also am new in my quit and this pointed some well needed things out to me. Maybe the wordage was not soft and sugar coated but the point was well taken and understood. I actually felt that all the posts on this thread had meaning. I took what I could use and left the rest. This addiction as stated "will kill you" eventually. It needs to be taken seriously and we need to muster up all the strength we have to beat it. Sometimes a kick in the ash is what we need.

Hey Nascar: Bad days come and they go. Smoking clings to us. I don't think you are being overly sensitive. Sometimes we need hugs and not advice. So, I am sending you (((hugs))) Mira :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 191 Amount Saved: $31.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 17 Mins: 43 Seconds: 16

I so hope you read this GM! I know you totally meant all good in your post. You want everyone to succeed and that is a wonderful thing. I feel a lot better today and I am sorry that I took your post so personally. I am glad you are here to spread your passion for not smoking. The effects are devastating and I know that, I just have never watched anyone die, Yet! My mom has one foot in the grave so I will be going through that I am sure, hopefully not anytime soon! When that happens I bet I will be a pissed at smoking as you are! I'm hangin in there and despite everything I am really glad you are here to set us early birds straight! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 212 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 5 Seconds: 23
