Ditto, KatieScarlett, I am right behind you and just so dam proud to have made it. Life is so much better. Yes, there was some "discomfort" getting here but well worth it. How I love breathing fresh clean air. How glad I am that I never feel the discomfort of needing to smoke. And the extra money not spent giving myself a horrendous disease is very nice, too. Smack that junkie forever, Janet :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 229 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,593 Amount Saved: $1145 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 6 Mins: 53 Seconds: 15

Hey KatieScarlett..... I echo your "Still Smober and Proud!" It's so hard to believe that in next 2 to 3 months the Smobers will start celebrating one year quit. We have come so far on this journey and the freedom we have found is amazing. As Mike would say "The Journey is the Reward" For the newbies...hang in there because when you get to this point, life is good! Our Smober friends are still around, they just pop in at different times. Come on Smobers! Post those awesome Stats! I haven't thought about it in a while, but you are right Lady in a few months it will be one year smoke free. I'm doing really well except there is only one thing that makes me think about smoking. And that one thing is the weight gain. I've gained 10 pounds since I quit and I'm only 4,10. I am going to start weight watchers tonight, so hopefully by the time my one year anniversary is here I'll be back to my original weight. Wish me luck! a.t.j. Well my goodness! I am still here and still smober. What a ride this has been. So hard to believe that I'm going on 9 months smoke free. This board has been a great help to me as well as everyone else. Reading the posts of newbies, I think back when I fist quit and I can feel their anquish (sp). I am so grateful that right now, right this minute, I do not want to smoke, have no intentions of smoking and don't think that nicodemon will haunt me today. I can't express enough what a feeling this is to not want to smoke. Anyway, here's a toast to all my smober friends (however I don't see to many of them, hoping they are all doing well) and all newbies, to a long healthy smoke free life!
