Hello September quitters, You are all doing a fantastic job with your quit. Keep up the great work! We all know that this journey is a long one, however, it is well worth it. Take Care, Melanie __________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi Silver: Your Nicorette partner. Whatever it takes to keep from taking another puff is OK. Somepeople can just do cold turkey but I'm not that brave. I feel this is one of my proudest accomplishments in life even with nicorettes and zyban. I have been to AC Casinos and been overwhelmed with 2nd hand smoke and came home without taking one puff. The doctor said most people don't succeed in their stop smoking efforts and I am trying to prove him wrong, you "can" teach an old dog new tricks! Anyway, can you or someone tell me what The Beach is? Thanks for your help and success for you! Sincerely, Ruth Ann My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/18/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 94 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,290 Amount Saved: $517 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 12 Mins: 30 Seconds: 10

I am here, Silver. I believe New Years week was sweet 16 for us, so this should be week 18. I'm thinking maybe we should switch to counting months instead? How are you feeling? Did you get over the crud? Question, how are you all doing with cravings? I can't remember the last time I had a bad one. I thought about a crave briefly a 10 days or so ago, when upset over a health issue, but I got past it realizing it was probably smoking that contributed to my problem. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/16/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 125 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,509 Amount Saved: $825 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 13 Mins: 53 Seconds: 37

Welcome Ruthann! You are doing such a wonderful job with your quit! The "beach" marks 100 days smoke free. It is a virtual beach with hammocks, food, drink and most importantly, all those quitters who arrived before you. It's a great time. Enjoy!
