i hear ya man! insurance is a crazy game... and provisions for mental health are lacking in most plans which makes it difficult to afford therapy etc... I would do what Josie recommended but also check with you local Human Services Dept. some offer free or sliding scale services, support groups etc... through the mental health division- might be worth a call. good luck! -twister

Null, Check your local listing for clinics that offer free sessions. Also check with your local hospital for consultations and numbers. This may be a little bit more cost efficient for you. Josie, Support Specialist

Y'know, my insurance sucks. The cost just went up to over $700 / month!! Copay is $30 for family doc & $60 for specialist. Talk about a setback! Talk about depressing! and for about $9,000 / year I get to pay $2,000 deductible, then 50% co-insurance for an additional $4,000 out of pocket. Mental health has no copay, so it's 100% up to $2,000, then 50%. That's why I don't go for counseling. I've shopped around too and I can't seem to find anything equivalent for any less $$. I can find it cheaper, but it sucks even worse. The Mrs. & I both had work done this past year so we've had two deductibles and two out of pockets. I don't think I'll get this stuff paid during my lifetime... and that's WITH insurance!! DAWG!!!
