Hi Bren: Keep the faith! a bump in the road won't derail you. We all get them and hopefully if you've been practicing the program here and keeping healthy habits, you'll be able to overcome quickly. That's a time when you can be good to yourself, pamper yourself a little and know everyone gets those days.
One thing that changed my mood drastically, was to get help evening out my food quality and quantity using a dietician.
Diabetics' lives depend on the proper intake of food. The way my food intake changed me was that my mood became more level, so I had fewer days with mood swings because of improper nutrition.
Of course, medicine and professional help with CBT are part of that programme.
So did you SCREAM. I would. And I'd beat the crap out of a pillow and feel better afterward for letting the tension out. I have to scream outside though cause it scares the cats.
Yes everyone hits a bump now and then. You seem to be handling it okay. And that is what the meds are for. Hang in there it gets better. Sunset is Mauve tonight and birds are singing. Life is good today. It makes the bumps more tolerable.
