I'm saving tea bag contents and crushed egg shells, after seeing the neighbour putting a plant in her window. She lost her husband, and I lost mom within a short period of each other.

No one going to say happy Valentines day?  Well I hope it is because you are enjoying it.

Made the pie last night, pie is good. Made a mess, mess needs to be cleaned. (floor washed is all)

Another nice spring at the wrong time day. Maybe my seeds will be in. Incentive to make potting soil even though it is too early.

I should have made the pie before the casserole (chicken) and definitely before the cauliflower and cheese. Well the filling is on the stove so I'm sort of committed.

A friend of mine has a saying about farming. It is like bacon and eggs. The chicken gets involved but the pig is committed. My days are like that.

Guess I'm shoulding on myself....Today I'm going to a film, and it should be nice to be with people, since sometimes my thoughts need some challenging.

My mother used to get mad at me and say how can you help others if you can't help yourself first. That was usually when I was not trying. Another of hers was how can you love others if you don't love yourself. Now that one is more complicated.

I was going to make a pie today but was too sore to do it, maybe tomorrow. Too much chocolate cake today has destroyed my appetite. But I still think I can find room for cauliflower and cheese sauce. I need food to go with the pills I have to take.

Hi Hugs, Your Welcome! I hope your feeling a little better today. I just read your response and it got me to thinking about session 12 of the program here on the site. They talk about needing to put yourself first especially if you've had anxiety/panic/or agoraphobia because you've probably been putting others first for a long long time. They go on to explain that this is not a selfish act at all but a self nurturing act. Self Care. They also go into assertiveness and have exercises and tools to help you become more assertive in your relationships with others. Just thought I would mention it here in the forum. It is one of my favorite sessions and one that I enjoyed reading again....Red:)))

Hugs

I paid fifty dollars for the three wipers my car takes. But they are better quality wipers that will last for years. So it really wasn't that much. And not that much more than the cheap ones. So the question remains, does it bother you that you paid that much or that people will think you paid too much? Like we told you, only you count. At least in my eyes.
I don't care how other people think.

Thanks Red,Davit It's hard to learn to think of myself. I thought I'd been "selfish" once, but it's hard to go back to that, without guilt, because of the role of caregiving for my mom. Being vulnerable cost me today, since I paid too much for windshield wipers. I read "consumer's report", and had 3 companies in mind, but didn't pay attention to the price range, and paid 50 dollars. But then I won a candle worth 15 dollars at a workshop, and I guess it's a less painful experience.
