changing of nature

I have some nature of getting afraid from challanges, fear of seniors, remain in depressed mood for small reasons.
Its like whenever I thought of  getting rid of them, the more I get trapped.
I now started by exposing myself to a limit in situations;the results are quite positive.Should I prepare now for more big challanges?I fear after a limit because of fear of getting defeated.
Is there any method thru which I can be able to change my this very nature;so that I can sustain in more challanging situations.
Pl suggest.

changing of nature

Dear Vincenza & Davit,
It is true that as you passes one hurdle you then look for another challange.I am at present is quite well as compared to 4 months back.Davit knows it very well.
Davit,in one of your post you mentioned the word "automatic" & reaction at "speed of light".The things with normal pupils goes like this and they don't even know how easily they were able to solve the problem "automatically" without getting stressed.
I have a confidence of 70% till date.I can reach to 80% in 2-3 months;I have this confidence. But this is really very tough to reach above 80%.So I think that when I am able to find solutions to my in "automatic" manner & at "speed of light" ;I wud be able take new challanges.Because at that time the fear in my mind will be at stage of almost disappearing.
Dear Davit,pl suggest on grounds of reaching above 80%.

I am now constantly engaging myself in following activities for my betterment-
-Daily One hour in early morning yoga, pranayam & sudarshan kriya in fresh air.
-Engaging myself in productive activities as job.
-Exposure to smaller & medium level challanges.
-CBT for me & frequent website visit
-Giving time to my family & sharing my experience to 100% about my mental health.

I really want to get rid of this fear; What else shud I do dear for getting prepared "automatically" for bigger challanges.

changing of nature

Davit,
You probably says the right word;go ahead and take decision.Make a mistake and learn from it.But there is some problem with me.Even if I take decision whether right or wrong;I don't feel confident about my decision & that is the real problem.A state of confusion starts building which leads me to flight rather than fight.I feel embarras due to the situation where I get strong scolding by senior.
A temporary solution is that I left my high salary job where there is too much responsibility.I joined a low salary job where no body is my boss and I act as a consultant. But again I have to expose myself in a challanging environment in future for money & reputation.I am preparing myself for some more challanging work.I will start that work soon.
Lets hope for the best for self betterment.
Keep in touch and share your good views.

Benefits of Yoga, Meditation & Tai Chi

Vincenza,
Yoga & meditation are found to have very positive results in curing depression.I am now devoting my 1 hr daily for yoga & meditation in early morning.'Surdashan kriya' a pranayam technique developed by Sri Sri RaviShankar ji is very famous in India for curing of depression & anxiety. Previously I used to feel that it has its effect for a small time. But continous practice really gives long term benefit.
I feel good ,better & deeply relaxed after doing 'Sudarshan Kriya'.

Quote of the Day Part Two

If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

getting panic for no reasons

I came to know about a characteristic in my personality.Sometimes I get anxious sometimes for without any reason. Now my anxiety search for a reason. And I used to relate it with some reason as work. Now getting anxious is now become my attitude. This was present in me from my childhood.I am able to document it during my CBT.Waves of panic comes for without any reason.Leg starts shiver & heart beat increases.
One method can be box breathing to break panic cycle.
Is there any method to break this panic cycle ?
Pls share.

depression and anxiety at workplace

I have a problem of getting depressed at my workplace.Like I find difficult to response to my boss queries.I feel that my collueges at my workplace are making fun of me or talking about me.I find difficult to manage a normal life as work pressure tends to develop anxiety in me.
Due to this I have to leave my job because depression & anxiety was getting worse.
I am now quite normal as now I am doing a job of low profile where I can handle pressures with almost no difficulty.I am now leading a life with no panic attacks & depression
But now almost after 1 yr I again wanted to join job of high salary and profile. But then I fear of panic attacks  & disturbances.
Is there anyone who have faced similar difficulties?
If yes then how you have again manage yourself at workplace.
pls suggest

automatic reactions to a situations

hello davit,

Well to continue with our discussion on automatic reactions & core beliefs;I need some of your advices.
I have now learnt to react positively to a negative situations.I am now able to handle a situation in a positive manner without being much effort. It is because I am working in a field where I am expert and less level of challanges as I believe. My situation is well within control & I am quite normal. This is not because of any medicine but because of support ,therapy & join of work with less challanges.
Now I want to move myself to next level;where the system is big and more challanges;as I was previously in my job.
Now my fear is that will I be SUCCESSFUL in tough situations where challanges are more.I now fear of panic attacks & anxiety which I used to have in my previous job.
Because I need money so for that I have to take challanges.
Pl support to advice me.Shud I expose myself to more challanges or then what to do?

hello davit,
nice to see you in avatar.
well it is correct that money is one of the reasons which prompts me to take more challanges.I want to take challange but question is whether I be normal after taking challange. My past history reflects I tends to crash in challanging situation. So at present I am sitting quitely and doing job of teaching in small institute where I can make myself busy and also earn some money.
The thing is that I am now fear for more exposure.
But on other way I am trying my level best for more exposure;thinking that I have to attain success.
can meditation be helpful in this situation ?
just making an assumption and share of thought which just strikes me.

automatic reactions to a situations

Hello Davit,
Hello Vincenza,
Meditation calms me & produces a strong positive feel from inside. But I am on a very early stage of meditation. But I do yoga & pranayam-breath relaxation technique. It has produces some very strong positive results in me which I realize now after practising it for 3-4 month regular. It has produced a feel of positive & hope. The feel of I CAN. The almost elimination of panic attacks & uncontrollable anxiety.Traces of panic are left which are negligble at this point of time or almost  not noticeableI am able to restore a level of confidence in me.
I would advice person suffering from depression to practice breath relaxation technique at least for 45 min early morning under a trainer initially.
I am relating to produce positive core belief thru pranayam & meditation.I really dont know whether I am in right direction.
What else can I do to produce positive core beliefs? CBT which I am doing with support of my family or any other option?
