I agree..........smoking won't help Casey Lee.....And I have not smoked.....I want to but I know it wont help her.......and It will only take away all my hard work to get where I am now.......almost through my second day. I am just stressing and trying to deal the best I can. As far as loving and all on Casey...she is resting and is really not into having me make all over her......all I can do is keep cleaning the eye and putting antibiotics in it. Unfortunately, the vet is closed til Monday.....I am just praying the swelling will go down some and that she eats.....
Thank you Free.....I have made it through 2 very long tough days.......But the point is I have made it!! I am almost positive Casey Lee is going to lose her eye...she is really bad off this morning..I prayed for a Christmas miracle for her to be better but her eye si bulging out and looks gray in color....amongst other colors we won't discuss......Please keep praying for her....!!

I am alone today as well.....I could be with my family but my dad smokes and so does my sister....just not ready to face that yet...and I am really not wanting to leave Casey Lee alone either. It has been a really rough day of fighting the urge to smoke. I haven't lit up....sure seems tempting but I am hanging in....I don't want to go backwards..I know I can make it through this!! The first to days weren't as bad as today has been. It comes it waves....and I keep riding the waves...and distract my thoughts. Just doing the best I can........
I will keep you updated on Casey in my posts.....I am praying for her to be seen at the vet and put my mind at ease that she will be ok!! I know God is watching over her and guiding me through my struggle with the demon trying to get me to smoke and helping me to be strong for my dog....and my achievement!
I am feeling shaky and weak...is that a side effect from lack of smoking? Has anyone else had this happen to them?? I have read all the side effects of withdrawals and haven't seen anyone talk about this symptom, nor is it listed in the program info.......
Well, I have panic attacks and I am not sure if that was what caused the shaky feeling or if lack of food was the cause....I haven't really been hungry since I stopped smoking. I had alot of sweet stuff today which I am not used to having so many carbs....Like I mentioned, I haven't been hungry since my quit.....but I baked today and tasted some of the sweet stuff......LOL and didn't eat supper til a little bit ago....and the shaky feeling only lasted a short time....
You told me to post what I am going through.......well here goes......
My dog is about to lose her eye, at the least, I hope that she is ok...been sitting here the whole holiday weekend with no one to take her to for help. My daughter is sick as a dog and has 4 kids........and needs my help.....My room mate is sicker than a dog and has no regard for others about spreading the germs as they cough and sneeze and never wash their hands.....my momma has a broken shoulder and is still in horrible pain after 7 weeks.....I had a very sad blue Christams.....alone.....by choice as my dad and sister and her husband all smoke........and I was not ready to deal with that yet...not strong enough....
And, Right Now......... I WANNA LIGHT UP AND SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your replies and encouragement......I had a minor slip last night praying someone would answer me....the people that are around me have no clue what it is like to quit smoking so as hard as I fought the urge.....I did the unthinkable...but I am back on track I pray for now.
Casey Lee had surgery on her eye this morning. The vet said she had an ulcer on her eye and it tore her third lid, so he sewed it back up and she has a 50/50 chance of keeping her sight. I am cleaning her bedding so when she comes home later on she will have a clean bed to re cooperate in.
I have a grasp on my slip up now...I know my dog is ok and she is healing and I accept what could happen after this surgery.....having or losing her sight in the one eye. The other stresses I have in my life such as my daughter being sicker than a dog and my momma's broken shoulder....I can handle. I think the helplessness I felt over the dog and watching her suffer while I waited til the holiday was over was more than I could handle.......as well as missing spending Xmas with my family due to my sister and her husband and my daddy smoking was rough. But, I am past all that now and I feel alot stronger about being tougher on staying strong and staying quit!
Hey everyone.....after several unsuccessful attempts to quit and stay quit...for more than a few days..I am considering trying chantix but the warnings and reports I have read have me a little concerned about using this method. Any input you can give me to try this drug to help me quit I would greatly appreciate. I read it causes strokes and other cardio problems....although I know cigarettes are going to eventually cause me problems....but I don't want to take a pill and die either!! I am in this to quit..and scared to death about this pill.......HELP!!!
