Hi Jonathon,

My advice you aren't going to like but I don't believe in pulling punches.

Take the high road - be honest. The chances are everyone already knows anyway. If you were gone enough to black out then you would also have likely been slurring swaggering staggering etc. Not to mention the smell. My sponsor is a teacher and from past conversations most teachers can smell it miles away. The sometimes overlook minor events but somep passing out not likely.

I am not going to waste your time or mine by trying to convince you to stop this behaviour now - when you are ready to stop or desperate just know there is help out there.

Don't get me wrong I am not judging you - in fact I wish you all the best.

Good Luck !

Hi Jonathan,

Although you believe you are not addicted to alcohol, you are engaging in "binge drinking" which is just as detrimental and can have some serious consequences. Is there a reason you took alcohol to school with you? It is important to understand where your desire to drink is coming from.

Welcome to the program.........please take some time to review it and start working through it; a big component of it is learning about yourself so you can better understand your behaviour.

Start reading through the forums. I think you'll find there are many people out there you can relate to. The forum is also full of advice and will offer you the wisdom of many diverse experiences in relation to alcohol addiction.

Jonathan, you may also want to seek the assistance of a counsellor or trained medical professional alongside this program. Passing out from drinking in class is a serious matter and needs serious attention.

Check back with us whenever you need to.

Jonathan,  I am not qualified to answer your question, but I wanted you to know that you are in the right place to get answers. You are wise beyond your years to be so honest with yourself, and to have come here for help.

Having passed out from alcohol poisoning, you are in great danger of becoming addicted down the line. You are also in danger of death, if you overload your body systems and organs again. I am not trying to shock or to scare you, but I know of young people (and old) who have fried their livers and kidneys by binge drinking - and died or almost died, and it CAN happen to you, in just one binge. No one is invincible, so please do not play Russian roulette with your body. Take care of it and you will have a long happy life with no regrets. (I speak from experience re: self-hate, despair and regrets, here.)

I am pulling for you Jonathan, and you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. You can change things!

first of all id like to say im not addicted, but i do have a problem accessing the quantity i can drink

yesterday was the first day of school, and i thought id drink for the hell of it as i havent drunk anything for 3 months

i had a water bottle filled up with my moms gin so i took it to school and drank 3/4 of it in class,

after a while i just remember walking home craving water and then i woke up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.
i would tell my teacher it was just food posoning but i cant remember half that day so she may already know, how can i find out what happened without telling people what happened?
