First day here getting ready to quit smoking in Canada

Hi Nachurali,
Welcome to the stop smoking center.  The reward for waiting is a cigarette Not a reward at all.  That's that nasty Nicodemon tricking you. At least you've cut back on your smoking.....but you're still smoking. I hope the NRT will work for you. The lung exam sounds a little scary, hope all goes well for you.
Fight that urge with all you've got. Have you went through the program at the top of the page yet? It can help prepare you for your quit journey.

Hi, I've had the self discipline to go from a pack a day to a pack every 2-3 days. I've maintained it for 2 years ! I write date and time inside cigarette packs to help me control and space out cravings. The reward for waiting is a cigarette so it's not really put my brain into full quit mode yet. Getting ready for NRT and a Lung exam  on Jan 18th so until then I will try self control by fighting the urge more
