I just logged on again because I could not remember my exact quit date! It is funny because I used to be able to tell someone exactly how many days it had been since my last cigarette. Now it is just a thing of the past, like a bad relationship that I let go of.
I wish I was one who could hang around and help others quit. But to be honest, I am not a nuturing person who can do that. I honestly believe that if you WANT to quit, you will. It is a personal choice and there is not one person who can convince someone else to quit. I believe that the true members within this site did help me stay quit. The real people that were going through the same experiences that I was. But then it was time for me leave the comfortable nest and be independent in my growth. I have remained in contact with many of the friends that I made in the process but smoking is not the topic of our conversations now! So many other doors opened up for me as a non-smoker! Smoking is so unbecoming and nasty - I don't even like to take myself back to that time. It has certainly passed and I have moved on.

Anna!! Great to 'see' you too! I'm so glad to know there are a couple of us still hanging on after going up that hill together. Keep climbing and I look forward to celebrating our next year!
