man - I like that. I'm not too far from my 2nd longest quit ever - 77 days (apr 17 - july 3, 2004). I lost that one drinking on 4th of july weekend. Learned my lesson, painfully. Apparently, I'm stubborn and I learn the hard way. Well, the lesson stuck and I'm wary and my guard will be up.
I'm feeling more confident in making this quit stick. I think secure is a more appropriate word. I feel like I've approached this quit as pretty much do or die and I've been confident - not to say I haven't had many moments of weakness where I just had to hang on. And I don't presume there won't be other challenges. Ultimately, this is our life we're talking about and I want to live it. I choose not to smoke.
