First day cravings

Hi Quitter, Welcome SSC! I had to smile when I read your post about your brain telling you "just one it'll be OK" I smoked like that all my life. I would put out my cigarette and think that's it I don't need these things. Then 20 minutes later I'd think well "just one" for now. I'd finish that and think that's it I don't need these things. Then 20 minutes later......
You get the picture. I only smoked "just one" all my life.

Well, this is my first day and I really want to quit for my health. But my brain is telling me, "Just one more, It will be o.k".  and I know that I should not let that take over me.  I just dread those cravings though.  The reason for this is because my wife and I live with her parents and sadly my mother-in-law smokes like a chimney.  So  if I want to quit I have to try extra hard.  The second hand alone is going to do me in.  But I am determined to stop. I think with everyone's help I can beat this.
