That's awesome, Lori. It's such a wonderful feeling when those fringe benefits start to be apparent, isn't it? That's when you can really start to appreciate the gift you've given yourself. I was at a Garth Brooks concert last night in Kansas City and it was the first time he had played live in almost a decade. About an hour into the show the friend I was with started debating whether she should go outside and have a smoke or try and make it through the rest of the show without one. I thought - "Yeah, it's about time for the withdrawal to kick in". I on the other hand, was comfortable and having a great time. A short time ago that would have been me -- distracted and not fully enjoying where I was while trying to figure out when and how I would get my next fix. So for all of the newbies who are in the midst of the toughest part -- there is hope. I still have many difficult moments, but even just 5 weeks in, things are completely different. The only way to truly feel better is not to smoke.
