You are very right about this one Martha. While this quit has been difficult at times, it has been very doable - not paralyzing at all. It's all about perspective. If you think it's going to be bad, it very well may be. How right you are Martha. I did just breeze by it because I knew it was 100 days for Penquin. so I for one am glad you brought it to my attention. I have to admitt I did feel paralyzed in the beginning, maybe still some numb. I am discovering who I am and starting to like myself again. The road to becoming smoke free has many crooks and turns and I was not prepared for that. I look forward to getting into this site every day and learning something new. Sometimes about me sometimes about you. Many times I just breeze right past the Quote of the Day on the login page. Other times, I'll read it and say, "Oh, that's nice" or "Huh - that's so true". Today though I wanted to point our eyes to this one because it is SO true that I think it deserves its own thread. If you are thinking about quitting...this quote sums up the journey for me.
Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you; they're supposed to help you discover who you are. - Bernice Johnson Reagon
Thanks Bernice!
