Memories of the past year

Hey! I remember nutty buddies. Some members didn't even know what they are! I also remember Sparking finding all those cigarettes everywhere. Where were those when you were still smoking and broke? Wild isn't it? Congratulations again Windy! YOU are a great example of how to quit. Don't forget you reward. It should be something extremely special. You deserve it! Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that was mad Englishman who said if you can nail a pound of jello to the ceiling, you've got it made LOL. And also it was Lilly who talked about Clotted Cornish Cream and I turned it into clotted cornish hens and Gonna exploded with laughter and Lilly called us Ethans at that point but she forgave us cause she's a classy lady that Lilly. Anyway I still had a bit of sanity left at that time, since then, there has been no smoking and menopause so beware LOL. Love this thread. We are all here to support one another! Keep strong and keep pushing forward. I always three very prominent experiences: 1- a member who was older was confined to a wheel chair, quit smoking and is now walking.. 2- A member who used breaking dishes as a coping mechanisms and stress release.. 3- a story about going to the cupboard for your coffee cup and it being changed.. You get used to after awhile.. Sometimes certain situation and experiences stick in your head and they help with every day occurrences. These are stuck in my brain! Josie, Support Specialist

Memories of the past year are the reason I am here today. I have been going back and reading some of the old post. LOL There were times I laughed so hard and other times we all shared our pains during the walk to being smoke free. I remember all the times I left and came back, you were there and you never gave up on me. I am sure at times you thought yeah right, but I am here smoke free because of some special quitters I have meant during the last year. Yes Gonna I seem to find cigs every time I quit. The time I found 5 packs really was test for me. I found them in the front yard and was going to give them to my husband to get rid of. By the time I got to the house I had talked my self into keeping maybe one then it went to two quickly. I did all of them to him. Found 1/2 pack on one of my walks and found several loose one just laying on the ground. Test after test after test. As far as Windy's bed there was a lot of the under the cover time going on there :eg: Oh, yeah I forgot my special coffee - Turtle Mocha - 468 calories. Memories are good for the soul. Thanks for the thread Windy. No, no, no. I crawled under the covers with you, Windy, and when I commented about your hairy legs, you told me it was george! Duckie does have some swell tea parties and can bake! Yum-yum! I remember Marie trying some clotted, cornish something-or-other at one of our SSC parties. And during one quit every time Sparky turned around she was finding smokes. Phil and his coconuts was hilarious! Of course, the felonious flirtatious Phil is ALWAYS funny! *say that three times for a tongue twister* And, Stickin, my steering wheel still bears the marks from that gigantic crave! Yes, Ter, it's been quite a year.... I agree that you have been the role model, Windy. You not only quit, but got yourself in the best shape physically. We are soooo proud of you! Hey Windy! I remember something about a hairy fireman, and duckie's tea. We sure did post alot back in the beginning. Nutty Buddy's. Dum dums. I remember the first time I had some drinks and was amazed that I could drink and not smoke. Never thought that was possible before. It's been a heck of a year.... Gonna getting a horrific urge and rather than drinking water or sucking on candy, she decided to gnaw at her cars steering wheel. Btw Windy, A major milestone is about to arrive; we have gained a year and hopefully not a pound! Be prepared with a speech, yes thats right and tell us how you got it done!

Sparky - You brought back some memories. I'm trying to recall all those posts during the past year. I DO remember that time that Gonna crawled under the covers with my hubby while I was away for work...(I was always glad to share my blanket and my remote but my hubby too???!!!) And I do remember that Phil had a very nice set of coconuts when we hit the beach.....Anyone care to recall the last few months...
