Congratulations on 17 days smoke-free! You're doing wonderfully! Just keep doing what you're doing and ignore those pesky thoughts! Oh, and I agree with Jan, deep breathing helped me a lot, too. Hang in there! It'll be SO much easier SO soon! Susie, What you're feeling is perfectly normal, and it DOESN'T last forever. Its nice to know it gets a bit easier day by day. Sometimes deep breathing really helps me when I start feeling that way. You hang in there! 17 smoke free days is awesome. Go ahead, pinch yourself, you're really doing this!!!! Hang on tight, Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 34 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,026 Amount Saved: $306 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 23 Seconds: 41

Susie144, Nope. It will not last forever. Please know you're not alone in feeling this way and that this too shall pass. Be sure to reward yourself for standing firm in your resolve! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Susie, It is not steep forever. The climb levels out. Slowly. It is not easy, but you will not die from craving. I will bump you a post that a wrote a few weeks ago that explains how I felt along the journey Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 369 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,080 Amount Saved: 2767.5 Life Gained: Days: 60 Hrs: 4 Mins: 39 Seconds: 33

Morning all. Well today I am breathing DEEP. Over the last couple of days I have had a lot of grief from some silly people and my little monster is telling me that he can make it better.I know he won't and I don't want to lose my 17 days. It's just that these stupid people really make the climb that much harder. Not their fault.....this is my battle and life is full of ups and downs. It's a learning experience and hopefully my brain will accept this as a coping with stress without a ciggie episode.I hope today will get better, not just for me, but for all of you who are in the rocky stage. Stay with the programme. It can't hurt for ever. CAN IT????? :gasp: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/31/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 485 Amount Saved: 120 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 2 Mins: 42 Seconds: 20

Hey Susie You are already getting through this - just look at your awareness round the issues you are facing. This might feel like a battle but from where I'm sitting you are one formidable opponent girl. And no, it can't hurt forever. Acknowledge how you feel as you are doing and it will pass. Be gentle on yourself today and I'm right behind you. All the best sharon My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 125 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,252 Amount Saved: 336.25 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 12 Mins: 48 Seconds: 9
