Hi Allyson, Welcome to the site. Great to hear that you have already started the program! Many here have had great success with it. As you move through the Depression Program the worksheets will change as you change. Make sure you give yourself time to do the homework properly - you know your depression best so it's really up to you to decide how often you do your homework. Take your time when you do your homework, there is no rush! Each session in the Depression Program is based on previous sessions, and if you track your mood with your Mood Tracker (and keep notes in the spaces provided) you'll see much improvement over the coming weeks. At the beginning of each session we give you a Weekly Review, which allows you to see how far you've progressed. We save your Weekly Review results in your Session Diary, so you will see a collection of results, which are all based on what you write in your worksheets. CBT is a lot of work but the good news is that if you follow the program it will all come together for you as you start to feel better. Casey ___________________________________ The DC Support Team

Hi Allyson, I am sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I know what you mean when it feels like you arent doing anything right and doing anything at feels like a huge trial and tribulation. Don't give up though. You need to find one thing you can hold onto and then grow from there. One day at a time. (someone told me that once) You sound like you have many wonderful talents and skills. When did you learn to play the fiddle? Did you take lessons? Have you played professionally? Even though you don't feel like playing have you thought of just picking it up and doing it. Pretend you have an audience who is dying to hear you play. =) You will always do well.

My name is Allyson and I have been having problems with depression for some time, almost a year and a half. I have just started the program and I hope it can help me. All areas of my life have been affected so far and it is getting more and more difficult to get out of bed to go to work every day. Even though I do make it to work, I don't feel I am doing a good job, but they pay me to be there. I have given up all activities I have always enjoyed, I haven't picked up the guitar since March and it is probably a year or more since I've played the fiddle. Even going to the gym has gone to the way side. I also find I am over spending. Boy do I need help!!
