Hey keith, another welcome to you! I know you will get a lot of positive results from this site. The people here really seem to care. I started on this site some time ago, only posting every now and then...now I seem to check on a daily or every couple of days basis and what a difference it has made. It is a tough and very lonely struggle trying to deal with the depression and ptsd. I am greatful that this site is here connecting many different types of people in similar situations. I hope you get the most from it! Peace to you! DDS

Hi! Keith I'm new to this too and like you I suffer from social anxiety,I hate being around other people or open spaces,I cannot go out without my husband at my side. I find when I go out and about I feel rushed especially in supermarkets when I'm just browsing I feel that people are pushing me out of the way all the time,do they have less time than me or am I missing something? anyway enough moaning, maybe what you learn here you can pass on to me vice versa, no one understands about our condition but ourselves,we are the only ones who can change no one can do it for us. WELL DONE! YOU ARE ALREADY ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY AS YOU SIGNED UP. :)

Hi, I'm Keith a 42 yr old divorced Dad with 2 teenage boys at home. I've been OCD,mostly with numbers, and depressed as long as I can remember. Since my divorce 3 years ago, I've experienced pretty severe social anxiety. I can honestly say I have no friends. I care very much for my family...but I have no social life. I'm comfortable at work but I have nothing to look forward to away from work. I've never thought of killing myself. I just get overcome with apathy. I make myself get up and out of the house but it's always a chore. I used to take Prozac and it reduced the OCD and worrying but it seemed to increased the apathy and completly zapped the sex drive. SO I'm here to give this program my best shot. Thanks to everyone for listening..
