Going off Zoloft

Hi Vanesther,

Please take this question to your doctor or pharmacist. We cannot give medical advice on this website.

How are you doing now though?

I've been on 50 mg a day of Zoloft for over a year now I think. I'm wanting to go off of it completely since my husband may be quiting his job soon and we aren't sure if we will be able to afford the frequent checkups and meds. Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment Friday and am hoping to start weaning off it then but I'm really nervous about how to handle the withdrawals that I was warned about. Any suggestions? Are there any natural (and preferably inexpensive) options for treating depression that anyone has found beneficial? Thanks so much!
