Good Afternoon Everyone,
There has been some questions about the posting of personal e-mail addresses. I have had extensive discussions with Management and we have gone over all the rules and regulations of this site. The matters have not changed. The procedures and policies stand firm.
Section 2 of our Support Group User Agreement states:
You will not post any personally identifiable information within the Service, including but not limited to email addresses, your real name or any other information that could potentially identify you, another member or any other individual.
Therefore, it is against our policy for users to post MSN IM information, email addresses, or any other contact information. If members post this type of information we are liable for breech of newly enacted privacy legislations, and by posting any of this information the entire Depression Center community is being put at risk.
I want to assure everyone that this not an Depression Center rule, but is a rule enacted by both Canadian and American congress.
If personal information continues to be posted, each post will constitute a breech of the user agreement and will be deleted immediatley with a warning to follow. In regards to passing along personal information through our moderators, it is also not allowed. Even if permission is granted by both parties, we are still liable.
We apologize that we can't be more accomodating for everyone. However, as a company we must also follow procedures and policies. Should you have any comments or concerns, please contact us at at support@depressioncenter.net.
Sincerely,
Josie
