I am so sorry to hear all you have had to go through. I am very glad you are getting treatment. Do you know if your counsellor is using CBT with you?It may be helpful if you bring some of your homework from here the program. Hello all. I have suffered from depression for what seems like, my entire life. Over the past year I have had a really hard time with numerous major stress issues- death of a family member, chronic health issues, loss of a loved pet, hurricane related problems, cancer diagnosis, loss of income, etc that have me at the highest level of depression. I am currently seeing a therapist because I could not seem to be able to break the cycle of my depression. I was on Trintellix but was having horrible side effects from it, now I am on Prozac and Welbutrin which is helping,but I still am having problems with facing each new day. My therapist has me keeping a journal of what is going on each day and that is useful, but I am still searching and wanting to find ways that, not only will help my depression but maybe keep the worst of the depression away totally. Depression is a horrible disease that people live with, it is a constant battle, a battle that has to be fought everyday.
