thank you for the information! I am just furious that she can't understand, but then there are very few who can. Thanks again

I believe everyone in this group has the effects of people like this. I've been married for 28 years and I'm 47. My setback is my husband. I love him dearly, and he under enormous strain because I haven't been able to work since Labor Day. He not helping the situation, and I feel like I'm walking on eggshells so I don't upset the "beast". He is very good to me, but lately we've gotten on each others' nerves. You just have to say "I can't deal with this right now". Try limiting the time you are around the offensive person. There are times I've taken my own car to functions. Then you get to leave when you've had enough, and you're not "hemmed" up. Della

I was just wondering if anyone else has setbacks because of certain people. My boyfriend's mother is my constant set back. I don't feel comfortable going anywhere when she is going along and I don't know what to do. I am way too anxious to to talk to her about it, but it is so annoying. My boyfriend doesn't really do anything to stop her either. I would just like to know if there is anything I could do to make me feel better and more confident around her. thanks for all of the help, I am really enjoying all of this support.
