I just got off paxil and having insomnia problems. I refuse to go back on paxil despite how tough it is. Maybe I will but for now I will fight through the tough nights sleeping. Anyway I understand what you are going through. I woke up last night for 2 hours and couldn't go back to sleep. The hard part is to convince yourself in the middle of the night with all the darkness and what not that you are not dying Anyway, Try if you have to get up don't feel guilty about it. That is if it is every once in a while. Go walk in the night lightly or meditate away from your room. Other suggestions would not be music unless you have the panic in the morning then music is a good idea. Try going in other rooms to sleep. If listen to music try meditation music, it is great. Do different things, be creative.

i've had insomnia since this last nov. somenights are worse than others. but i'm under a lot of stress and it's starting to affect my sleeping patterns, i'm wrestless and i can't fall asleep for hours. it's driving me crazy caus ei start to think about things that get my nerves going. just wanted to know if anyone had any quick fix tips. i drink passionflower tea, but i think it's loosing it's affect, i'm building a tolerance. and i can't keep taking gravol (even though it works most times).
