Well I'm off the Faverin. GP prescribed Xanax today until I can get to see my Psychiatrist.(only 2 weeks away) Didn't sleep at all last night. Couldn't breathe without thinking about it so I kept just drifting off to sleep and then waking up gasping for air. Hopefully I'll get a good night sleep tonight so that sleep doesn't develop into a problem. I like sleep. Sleep is when I get to take a break from the world. Maybe some food will go down tonight too. Here's hoping. No. Here's planning. :)

Howdy Adele, I think it takes longer than 3 days for the medication to kick in. I could be wrong but I think it takes more like 10-14 days. I went around in circles during the first 6 months I had panic disorder. I switched medcation a few times. Over the last 16 months though I've had the same 2 types of mediaction and have improved all the time. I think it does take a while for people to find the best medication for them. It's basically a case of trial and error. Panic disorder is hard at the start. Remember, panic attacks are distressing not dangerous. They always dissappear into thin air!!

I had 4 attacks during the night last night. I have never had more than one in a day before. I am worried that it is the new medication I started three days ago. (Faverin) I don't know what to do. Should I stop them since I only just started them on teh lowest dosage three days ago or should I wait and see a doc tomorrow which means that I take another dsoe tonight. I don't have anything but the faverin to take so if a panic attack starts its up to me to come out of it. This sucks.
