I think you will find journaling very helpful! It is rewarding to look back on your entries over time to see your personal growth, and as you said, it is a great way to organize and work through your thoughts.
I used to do this a lot, along with diaries. I've used the "Ira Progoff" system. You go on a workshop, and then a skilled facilitator takes you through the process. In this journalling, you're communicating with many parts of yourself, and the outside world. I still have my binder, and the different sections: dreams, my body, etc...
Expression is key for health, and writing has always meant a lot to me.
This forum is starting me to connect slowly back with the "real" world
I get up in the wee hours of the morning just me and the quiet and the thoughts start to come to me..
This morning I started my journal, my place to get down my thoughts, to sort my thoughts, to release my thoughts.
A place where I can reflect and learn about myself..A place of understanding..
I am thinking that this is going to be a healing experience..A place where I can learn how to love and nurture myself.. A place where I take my shoes off and relax...A place just for me...
The last step of my journey. The missing and final piece of the puzzle..
I was reading a post tonight about journaling and how it can help a person organize their thoughts and come up with solutions.
I think this is something I might want to do now..I think it would help me to if I started journaling in my blog. Is anyone else interested in journaling? If you are already journaling how has it helped you?
