I have been told I live on a piece of paradise. Well it has potential and I'm sure the next owner will make it even nicer. It is very peaceful but has become familiar. I have had to look around again and see why I like it.
Now I would not want to live in a city unless I had to but there were certain aspects of the city I liked. Parks for one thing. Walking trails especially if they are by a river. And the evening. The atmosphere changes as the city winds down, at least on the outskirts. My brother lives in Calgary and I found parts of it I loved, probably because it was new to me. I liked the lights in the evening and the change of the air as it cooled down. But I let the noise and the hustle and bustle get to me, I let all that negative cloud my thinking. Sitting here though without the noise I can think about the good things it had to offer. I can even miss them.
I think a person can make the best of a bad situation if they look for the good in it. Just some times it is so hard. Take your classes, they have become an island of calm in a sea of turmoil.
They were not always so. But you have learned perception. You have learned to look for the positive. I have no doubt that you can carry this to other situations and use it to find a calm centre. If you truly want a place in the country I hope you get it, it can be very peaceful, but I am sure you now have the potential and patience to be happy anywhere.
Some of those old tractors were so ugly they were cute. So much more character than the modern streamlined air conditioned ones of now a days. And they sounded like tractors. I myself love the steamers. But I think I mentioned that before.
